Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD) are a type of special educational needs in which children/young people have severe difficulties in managing their emotions and behavior. They often show inappropriate responses and feelings to situations.   Visual impairment is a condition where someone has a problem with their sense of sight to see while others see partially .it is also known as vision loss. It can also be defined as decreased ability to see to a degree that causes problems not fixable by usual means, such as glasses. Vision loss is becoming a severe problem in the country where most people are losing their sight. Low vision can be rectified through operation or the use of spectacles. According to World Health Organization (WHO) , at least 2.2 billion people globally have a near or distance vision impairment. HEARING IMPAIRMENT

  H earing impairment is a condition where individual has partial or total inability to hear . A person who is not able to hear, as well as someone with hearing thresholds of 20 dB or better in both ears – is said to have hearing loss. Hearing loss may be mild, moderate, severe, or profound. It can affect one ear or both ears, and leads to difficulty in hearing conversational speech or loud sounds. However, hearing impairment in children may affect the development of language and can cause work related difficulties for them in future. THE CHALLENGING CBC ASSESSMENT

It has been barely four years since the new Competence  Based Curriculum (CBC) was officially rolled out by the Ministry of Education with motive of developing relevant skills required for day to day life among learners and unlock their full potential  .The CBC which consist of 2-6-3-3 system of education was implemented  to replace the 8-4-4 system of education which has served Kenya for  more than 30 good years.
