Have you ever come across a child who is aggressive, always fights his/her friends,hyperactive, and prefers to be alone most of the time? Have you ever wondered what could be the problem and how could they be helped out? Did you know this could be BESD? Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD) are a type of special educational needs in which children/young people have severe difficulties in managing their emotions and behavior. They often show inappropriate responses and feelings to situations. This means that they have trouble in building and maintaining relationships with peers and adults and in most cases, they also struggle to engage with learning and to cope in mainstream education.
